Does Your Phone Have These Apps?

Information at your fingertips can help you Be Ready anywhere.

We all know the slogan “There’s an app for that.” But knowing which apps to try isn’t always easy. Here are some we think help increase productivity while managing operations. Grab your tablet or smart phone and give them a try.

All about your machine. Track machinery performance with apps such as TractorPal to monitor hours and set maintenance reminders. When you’re ready to start thinking about your next pre-owned farm equipment, you can search TractorHouse for thousands of listings.

Organization in the palm of your hand. Apps such as Google Drive and Evernote keep on-the-go notes, lists and files organized so you can complete fieldwork and still stay organized at the end of the day.

Monitor markets and your field. Growers Edge provides market quotes and commentary, cash prices, weather and news. FarmLogs collects details about each of your fields and can track specifics from rainfall history to managing inventory.

Stay in the know about weather. There are a number of great weather apps available, including AccuWeather, The Weather Channel and Yahoo Weather. TechHive recently published a list of top weather apps for Andriod devices, and iMore shared best weather apps for iPhone. Try a few different weather apps to see which works best for you.

Store equipment information and shop Case IH parts. If you want a handy way to find parts for specific machines, choose the right battery or pick the right lubricant, the My Shed app can help. It allows you to create and submit a parts list to your local dealer. The app also provides resources such as initial crop settings, which lets you look up threshing and separating adjustments for common crops.
