CNH Parts & Service is important to the overall success of Case IH, because when customers sign a purchase or lease agreement, it’s the beginning of an important relationship between customers and our company, as noted below. Rebecca Gunderson served as a CNH Parts & Service marketing intern this summer, working out of the Case IH headquarters in Racine, Wis. She shared her thoughts before she headed back to the University of Wisconsin – Platteville for her senior year.
When Rebecca Gunderson was selected as a summer marketing intern for CNH Parts & Service, she was overwhelmed with excitement and anticipation. The last three months exceeded her expectations.
“The possibilities for professional and personal growth were endless,” says Gunderson. “I was able to assist in the creation and placement of advertisements, write sell sheets and bulletins and collect testimonials for a video, to name a few of my responsibilities. It was satisfying to be considered part of the team and not ‘just an intern.’”
Acting as a business partner with our customers, CNH plays an active role in providing the right after-sales parts, service and support from the factory, both at the dealership and in the field.
Customers rely on CNH Parts & Service and its state-of-the-art distribution facilities to provide the right products and service to help them keep their equipment up, running and profitable. Case IH dealers employ the best-trained technicians and have access to the full line of CNH Original Parts as well as the latest tools and equipment for performing diagnostics, maintenance and repair.
Combined with innovative programs for making routine maintenance convenient, our dealers offer flexible scheduling, early-morning parts delivery and service in the field.
The knowledge and experience Gunderson gained at CNH Parts & Service was unlike any other, she explains. “In addition to marketing, I was exposed to other facets of the company, such as pricing, purchasing and even engineering. Being able to see how the various divisions work together, especially from the global perspective, was fascinating.
“I cannot speak highly enough of the company and everyone I met along the way, whether they were full time or fellow interns,” continues Gunderson. “I now have a larger network of professional contacts and a greater sense of the company, as well as enhanced abilities and skills to help me be successful upon graduation.”
Gunderson participated in the “Ride n Drive” event, attended a Brewers game and was involved in many other activities during her internship. Recalling the experiences, she says, “It is evident that CNH highly values its interns by providing positive learning experiences. I recommend every college student seriously look into an internship with CNH because he or she will be provided with the experience of a lifetime. Working for such a reputable and respected agriculture company is an opportunity of which any qualified agri-business student should take full advantage.”
CNH and Case IH are committed to helping our customers Be Ready to meet the demands of the future. Through our intern program, we also help competent, talented college students by helping them become part of a great team. Interns work together with other colleagues and participate in structured projects, agreed upon in advance, that meet their specific study goals and interests.
