Congratulations to Brian Kreiter of Pekin, Ill! Brian submitted a photo and caption during our “How is Case IH helping you grow” contest to the Case IH Facebook page.
The contest occurred in conjunction with the National FFA Convention this past fall. Case IH Facebook fans were asked to submit their photos with captions showing how Case IH is helping them Be Ready for a career in agriculture. The photos then were voted on by other Facebook users. Kreiter’s post received the most votes, making him the winner of a new Apple iPad.
His winning post received 189 votes out of 321 votes! His caption with the pictured photo: “The 550HD … this is the machine to have… plenty of power, and the GPS guidance system is top notch … called my dealer to fill my DEF tank at 10pm … he drives 30 miles to do that for me … who else offers that kind of service?”
Kreiter explains that the farm he works for used Case IH tractors during a demonstration this past fall, and he was very impressed.
“I’ve operated other brands of tractors, but the Case IH machines operate better and more accurately,” says Kreiter. “The Case IH tractor is user-friendly and so much easier to program.”
Kreiter’s Facebook post reflected his experience running the Case IH equipment during harvest. It was Kreiter’s first time using Case IH equipment — a Steiger® 550.
“The dealer showed me how to set up the programming, and you hit the ‘resume’ button, and that’s it, once you have everything set up,” he said. “In addition, the single joystick was very intuitive and easy to use.”
The tractor’s power impressed Kreiter as well.
“I was really surprised by the power,” he said. “It was no problem for it to pull an attached implement that was five inches in the ground, pulling at a 6 percent grade.”
While the tractor’s features left a positive impression on Kreiter, the local Case IH dealer’s above-and-beyond service solidified his Case IH experience. “I was running the tractor at about 10 p.m., and the diesel exhaust fluid alarm went off. I wasn’t sure what was going on, so I called the dealer. I figured I’d need to shut down and the dealer would be out first thing in the morning. When I explained to the dealer what was going on, he told me not to shut down. I had about 6-8 gallons of DEF left, and he said he would bring it to it top off,” Kreiter said. “We’re about 40 miles from the dealer, so I told him he didn’t have to do that. Sure enough, he came about a half hour later.”
Congratulations again to Brian! We hope you enjoy that new iPad!
