Jordan Cowan reflects on his summer as a Case IH intern in the livestock marketing department. If you or someone you know is interested in applying for a Case IH internship, visit www.campusconnect.cnh.com to view available positions.
I was especially excited to intern with Case IH because of my background in agriculture; my family farms in southeast Wisconsin and raises breeding cattle. As a Case IH intern, I’ve been given endless opportunities to learn about the company, its products and the agriculture industry.
I learn something new every day that applies to the industry and my future career. This internship is furthering my goals and knowledge base, and I feel fortunate to be with Case IH and my team.
The Livestock Marketing Managers are a great group of people to work with and are always willing to help with any questions or projects. My managers take the time to talk with me and teach me about the agricultural equipment business and their career experiences. I feel as if I am a valued member of the team.
This summer, during Red Power Experience, I was given the responsibility to lead the walk-around, breakout sessions and demonstrations of the conventional hay tools. During these breakouts, I presented key features of our new line of hay tools to nearly 1,500 Case IH dealers and employees. This was a powerful experience for an intern, and I appreciate the fact that Case IH put their trust in me to deliver their message to such important groups of people.
I traveled to Nashville for an RFD-TV broadcast showcasing the Spring Sales Event, Central Missouri for a Run Red Event and attended the 2014 Hay Expo in Boone, Iowa. I will help Case IH at Farm Progress Show later this month in Iowa.
My internship with Case IH has been a remarkable experience. Great people. Fantastic equipment. Opportunities to learn. This internship had it all. I hope to return to Case IH, as it is truly an outstanding place to work.
