Case IH is excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Case IH Magnum™ tractors at fall farm shows. Please be sure to visit us and see one of the limited edition silver Magnum 340 Powershift tractors made for this anniversary. We will be exhibiting at Husker Harvest Days in Wood River, Neb.; and the Farm Science Review in London, Ohio.

We’re also gathering stories from Magnum owners that highlight the legacy of the industry-leading Magnum tractor. Do you have a story to share? Submit your story and a photo of your Magnum tractor, and you may be selected to be featured in a future blog or on our Facebook page.

Introducing the 1988 model year Magnum tractor was a major milestone for us. It was the first tractor designed and produced after the birth of Case IH through the joining of J.I. Case and International Harvester. Since then, Case IH Magnum Series tractors have set the industry standard as the most powerful and productive row-crop tractor.

Customer input has been the key ingredient to the successful design of Magnum tractors. Producers told us they want a tractor with more power to handle demanding tasks at higher speeds, with better fuel efficiency – while maintaining operator comfort.

Our engineers have delivered on these requests, continuously improving and upgrading the Magnum tractor to keep pace with ever-growing productivity needs. Today’s Magnum tractor line-up offers power, an improved operator environment and outstanding fuel efficiency. Simple, robust designs drive machine reliability.

Magnum tractors are known for their ground-breaking, pulling power and torque with the highest horsepower in their class. Currently, there are nine Magnum models with PTO horsepower ranging from 150 to 290 to handle today’s larger row crop implements. Customer requests for more power in tough pulling conditions have been answered with Power Boost capabilities, providing up to an extra 35 engine horsepower.

Magnum tractors meet emission requirements while increasing total fluid efficiency and reducing operator costs. All Magnum tractors meet Tier 4A emission standards, using Case IH Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology for maximum performance with the lowest possible operating costs. SCR-only after treatment frees the engine to produce raw power from fresh fuel.

Customers also appreciate Magnum’s cab-forward design, 360-degree visibility and the largest, quietest cab in it class. Operating controls have also been designed with extensive input from producers to create the MultiControl Armrest console, which puts key tractor functions at operator fingertips.
