Speed or accuracy? It’s usually a pick-one proposition, especially on the farm. The new Case IH Precision Air™ 5 series air carts let you have both — just in time for winter wheat seeding.
The seed-metering system is the heart of any air cart. With its modular metering control system, the new Precision Air 5 series air carts from Case IH provide best-in-class accuracy of seed and fertilizer placement. Larger tanks and a revolutionary fill system mean you spend less time loading and more time seeding. It’s a perfect combination for today’s larger drills and higher-horsepower tractors.

AccuSection uses individual electronic meter drives to provide primary run control on a per-meter basis. This reduces or eliminates overlap at headland turns, point rows or around field obstacles to help avoid expensive overapplication of seed and fertilizer.
Other design enhancements for these next-generation air carts include:
Greater capacity. The 5 series’ larger tanks — ranging from 350 to 950 bushels — also feature larger openings so you can blend any tank with any other tank to cover more acres between fills. A new over-center tank lid-lock configuration ensures a tight seal. A durable folding stairway system with slip-resistant treads provides easier access.
Faster filling. A revolutionary fill system for the fourth tank lets you load from the ground without having to climb stairs. A new master shut-off feature allows for meter servicing without emptying the air cart. Several design enhancements — including a longer hopper for improved access under trucks and a deluxe auger system for more intuitive positioning — save time during routine filling.
Reliability. Corrosion-resistant tanks and meters extend your equipment’s lifespan. A beefed-up LED lighting package makes nighttime filling easier.
Tech-readiness. The new 5 series air carts are compatible with ISO 11783 technology and the Case IH Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) Pro 700 control center. You can easily monitor and operate meters and section control technology applications while keeping an eye on bin level and other air cart sensors.
Enhanced flexibility. The new meter design uses a modular cartridge system, making it easier to adjust for different seed or fertilizer types and sizes. Simple-to-insert, color-coded cartridges help you quickly determine whether you have the right size for the job.
Whether working with small grains, pulse crops, dry fertilizers or a range of seeds from canola and rice to soybeans and milo, you can accomplish more, more precisely, with the new Precision Air 5 series air carts. Visit your Case IH dealer to learn how.
