Case IH has a dedicated team of specialists that focus their efforts on assisting customers and dealers with utility tractors, as well as hay and forage equipment. Their expertise and knowledge of the equipment helps producers select the right product for their needs and then get the most out of it to ultimately improve their operation. Last week, we introduced you to the specialists in western parts of the U.S. and Canada. In this post, we will introduce the specialists who are serving the eastern areas.
Brett DeVries, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois
DeVries grew up on a corn and soybean farm in rural Iowa and knew that he wanted to pursue a future in agriculture. He received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from Iowa State University. His career at Case IH started three and a half years ago as a Marketing Manager for hay and forage products. DeVries learned a lot about these products and applies that knowledge to helping serve customers in his current position as Field Specialist. DeVries encourages customers to consider comfort, visibility, ease of use and durability when choosing utility equipment. For hay and forage equipment, reliability and efficiency are things that he emphasizes to customers. DeVries conducts various demonstrations, trainings and educational presentations to help Case IH dealers and customers become more knowledgeable about their equipment.
Michael DuBois, Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota
Growing up on a grain, hay and vegetable farm on the East Coast, DuBois knew that he wanted to work in the agriculture industry. He began as an engineer for Case IH, moved to the service side and now has served as a Field Specialist for the past year in the Midwest. DuBois supports dealers in providing customers with optimum support, service and products. He likes to point out to producers the unique Agronomic Design that Case IH equipment offers and how it can help them on their farms. He enjoys demonstrating to customers the many equipment features that ensure a good operator experience.
Derek Hetrick, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky
From a young age, Hetrick has been involved with agriculture. He grew up on a row crop farm near Freemont, Ohio. He started at Case IH three and a half years ago as a Service Representative in Nebraska, and transitioned back to the Ohio area for his current Field Specialist position last June. Much of his time is spent training customers on the products and features that Case IH offers, showing customers how to best use the equipment. He strives to provide customers with dependable, easy-to-use and versatile equipment that will add value to their operation and make their job easier.
Jacob Sherman, East Coast from South Carolina to Ontario, Canada
Sherman’s involvement with agriculture began at a young age. He grew up on an equine farm and also spent a lot of time on his grandfather’s beef cattle farm. He has been with Case IH for two years serving as a Field Specialist. Recognizing that livestock producers use their equipment on a daily basis, he urges customers to consider frequency of use and what their capacity objectives are before selecting the utility tractor or hay equipment that is right for them.

I was in the Ag Equipment Industry in the 1980-1990 eras. Great job if the farm prices hold. I have always held the position that if you have great field representation, engineering can get the insight needed for product support and direction.
