As daylight saving time gives you an hour this weekend, it also reminds you the window for fall fieldwork is closing fast. If that’s cause for concern, consider an equipment upgrade. It won’t make your days longer, but it can help you get more done each day.
Fall is supposed to be a less-busy time of year. Even if your crop is in the bin, you’ve likely got soil to till, fields to fertilize, hay to move, fences to fix, livestock to work, manure to haul, repairs to … well, you get the idea. There’s still plenty of work to do this season.[Tweet “The right equipment can help you get it all done. Via @Case_IH #BeReady “]
Would a more reliable or higher-capacity combine help you finish harvest sooner? Or would a higher-horsepower tractor help you get over the acres you need to work? Or maybe an equipment purchase could help your year-end tax planning? Now, thanks to the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned* program, you can add or upgrade the equipment you need and still have the peace of mind that comes with like-new equipment.
High Standards
Only certain machines — those serviced by a special caliber of technician — are eligible for the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned program. Late-model (no more than 5 years old) Axial-Flow® series combines and Magnum™ and Steiger® series tractors qualify for consideration. Combines must have fewer than 1,500 engine hours; tractors can have no more than 2,000 engine hours.
Once those standards are met, then a fluid analysis of engine oil, coolant and hydraulic fluid is performed. This state-of-the-art fluid analysis identifies dirt, wear particles and coolant contaminants that can cause catastrophic failure or significantly shorten equipment life.
Next comes a thorough, systematic inspection by an authorized Case IH dealer — 200-plus points for combines and 100-plus points for tractors — and reconditioning that includes replacing worn out or defective parts. Those replacement parts must be genuine Case IH parts or factory-authorized parts. New parts carry a six-month warranty; factory-authorized remanufactured parts come with a 12-month warranty. Certified Case IH dealer technicians perform all repairs, returning the equipment to field-ready condition.
A final test drive ensures all repairs fully meet Case IH standards and the equipment qualifies for the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned program. This exhaustive certification process guarantees you’ll work confidently with proven Case IH quality and durability for years.
Post-purchase Protection
Equipment purchased under the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned program comes with a Case IH Protection Plan with Extended Powertrain Coverage** to help keep your equipment working properly beyond the base warranty period. The Case IH Protection Plan covers all major engine and drivetrain components with a $0 deductible.
The Case IH Extended Powertrain Coverage includes 12 months or 2,500 total engine hours (whichever occurs first) for Magnum and Steiger series tractors and 12 months or 2,000 total engine hours (whichever occurs first) for Axial-Flow series combines. Coverage extends to the following components:
- Engine
- Final drives
- Driveline (tractors)

In addition to the $0 deductible under the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned program, coverage can transfer to a new owner free of charge.
