The new Case IH Axial-Flow 240 series combines will deliver the top performance that producers have come to expect from Axial-Flow combines. More high-quality grain, simplicity, crop adaptability, matched capacity and top resale values – plus unmatched horsepower.
“The new Axial-Flow 7240, 8240 and 9240 combines with larger engines deliver more power, more grain in the tank and more hours of uninterrupted operation, thanks to a larger fuel tank,” said Nathan Weinkauf, Case IH NAFTA Combine Marketing Manager.
For example, the new Axial-Flow 9240 tops out at 625 peak horsepower with the new Case IH FPT
15.9L in-line, 6-cylinder, Tier 4 B/Final engine.
The industry-exclusive Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)-only exhaust aftertreatment technology allows Case IH FPT engines to create more power with an average of 10 percent less fuel consumption than comparable Tier 3 models.
“We listened to dealer and customer feedback to deliver the best in innovative combine technology,” Weinkauf said. “This new Axial-Flow series has been engineered to excel in the most demanding harvest conditions.”
Some of the new features include:
- Larger grain tank. The 8240 and 9240 combines feature the largest grain tank capacity in the industry at 410 bushels.
- Increased fuel economy and capacity to allow for a full day’s harvest without refueling.
- More power to get through demanding field conditions, handle heavy loads and unload on the go without slowing down.
