The deadline to meet the 2014 Tier 4B (Tier 4 Final) engine emissions standards is quickly approaching. While competitors are relying on a combination of engine systems, Case IH is exclusively using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. Watch the video to learn more about SCR technology. Case IH has been dedicated to using SCR technology from the start. SCR is an engine exhaust after-treatment system. There are no emission components in the engine so it can generate maximum power without compromising efficiency.

Tier 4A SCR-only technology is being employed across the Case IH high-horsepower equipment lineup today: Steiger®, Magnum™, Puma® and Maxxum® tractors; Axial-Flow® 30 Series combines; and the Patriot® 4430 sprayer. More than 30,000 Case IH SCR-only engines with 15 million-plus operating hours are hard at work in fields across North America. FPT Industrial has built more than 350,000 SCR engines since 2006.

The next generation of these products will feature an industry-exclusive Case IH FPT SCR-only design with eight patents.
