Today’s guest blogger is Reid Klintworth, who is interning at the Case IH headquarters in Racine, Wis. Reid is majoring in marketing and environmental studies at Western Michigan University. This is the first in a series of posts from Case IH interns who volunteered to share about their experiences in the Case IH Be Ready blog.
I’m serving as the digital marketing intern.
Case IH makes a significant effort to communicate with customers and prospective customers using digital media. Examples of this include the Case IH website, YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter feed, as well as providing digital tools, such as mobile apps. This internship has opened my eyes to the various opportunities and aspects of Internet marketing.
My role is to assist with developing content and to work on the design of these digital projects. I also have worked on a project to make the Case IH website more smartphone- and tablet-friendly. There is some travel involved with my internship, too. Later this summer, I am traveling to Wilmington, Ohio, and Denver, Colo., to provide technical assistance with our dealer training events.
I love the responsibility I have been given during this internship. My work is appreciated, and I’ve learned a lot about branding and digital marketing through this experience.
I absolutely recommend this internship to other students. Even if you don’t have passion for or a connection to the company beforehand, you develop them along the way with the drive to succeed. My passion for agriculture has increased tenfold over the past few months, and it will remain even after I leave.
