Case IH will be exhibiting at three major winter shows, starting with the World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif.; the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Ky.; and the Commodity Classic in Nashville, Tenn.
World Ag Expo– February 14-16 – According to Director of Communications Liza Teixeira, there’s plenty of agriculture equipment and technology to explore, with 1,400 exhibitors (including Case IH) displaying their latest wares. Education seminar topics include general agriculture, irrigation, dairy, beef and livestock, international exports, and hay and forage.On Wednesday, February 15, President George W. Bush will give a 30-minute speech, followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. President Bush will be joined by the 82nd Airborne Division’s All-American Chorus. On Tuesday night, February 14, country music stars Trace Adkins and Brett Eldredge will be joined by local band Chapparral to perform a concert benefiting local, state and national agricultural education. On Thursday, February 16, WAE is expecting 2,000 FFA students for the 2ndannual FFA Assembly.
National Farm Machinery Show – February 15-18 – The theme is “The Future of Farming” so it’s a safe bet that the nation’s largest indoor farm show will have plenty of the latest high-tech products and services on display – including Case IH Efficient Power family and our new AFS Connect telematics. Also on the docket are lots of free educational seminars, as well as the Championship Tractor Pull – the oldest indoor tractor pull in America.
Commodity Classic– March 1-3 – The three-day event will include an extensive trade show with the latest ag innovations, several education sessions, and an opening address by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. The theme for 2012 is “Sound Success” (clever, since Nashville is known as Music City USA.) Back by popular demand, Case IH is again sponsoring an educational session – Doubling Your Yields in 20 Years or Less – with hosts Brian Hefty and Darren Hefty of Ag PhD TV. From 7 to 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, the Hefty brothers will talk about how to double yields in corn, soybeans, wheat, sorghum and other crops. They’ll lay out steps to build soils and manage crops to much higher yield and profit levels. From seed placement to harvest-season plant health, the Hefty brothers will share an easy-to-follow plan to double yields.
