Agriculture is an innovation industry. Always has been. Today — as we strive for better, more efficient ways to feed a growing population while pushing through a challenging ag economy — our efforts demand a sharper focus. It’s time to Rethink Productivity.
This new tagline for the Case IH brand demonstrates our focus on future innovations that will help you achieve High-Efficiency Farming practices. As we announced during this week’s Farm Progress Show, Rethink Productivity embodies our approach to equipment innovation and how you approach your farming operation. You know that you must focus on achieving the highest level of efficiency if you want to grow and succeed and, most importantly, feed the world. We know that by intensifying our emphasis on advanced technologies and agronomic design, we can continually advance High-Efficiency Farming.
Proof in the concept
As a demonstration of our new approach, we also unveiled a sleek, new autonomous tractor concept vehicle that exemplifies the latest in tractor engineering and technology. The concept vehicle is a cabless Case IH row crop tractor that can operate autonomously with a wide range of field implements.

This autonomous tractor concept demonstrates the potential to remotely monitor and control machines directly. Case IH and CNH Industrial’s Innovation Group based the autonomous concept on an existing Case IH Magnum™ tractor with reimagined styling. Some of its features and functionalities include:
- A fully interactive interface allows for remote monitoring of preprogrammed operations.
- Using radar, LiDAR (light imaging, detection and ranging) and onboard video cameras, the vehicle can sense stationary or moving obstacles, and then stop on its own.
- Machine tasks can be modified in real time with remote interface or automatic weather warnings.
This autonomous concept vehicle has the potential to extend to combines or other equipment.
By bringing together the latest in guidance, telemetry, data sharing and agronomic management, this technology has the potential to deliver greater operational efficiencies. Watch this video to learn about the concept tractor’s capabilities. We believe this concept tractor validates the technology. Now, we’re working to collect feedback regarding producer interest and the need for future autonomous products for your operation and farms around the world.
