Case IH interns have been sharing their perspectives this summer. Our final intern blog is from Kate Leverich, Axial-Flow® combine sales and marketing intern. Kate is a University of Wisconsin-Madison sophomore studying life sciences communication.
I firmly believe farmers need and deserve the best products the market has to offer. Growing up with Case IH equipment, I knew it was reliable and efficient, and I wanted to help producers select the right machines for their operations.
It would be easier to list what I didn’t do in this internship than what I did do! The great thing about interning with Case IH is structure, but you also have the ability to mold your experience to focus on your interests. During the Red Power Tour, I was able to train dealers about new products.
The best part was traveling to Texas for the wheat harvest. While there, I did market research, gathered content for the Be Ready blog and got to connect with Case IH customers.
The caliber of Case IH employees and customers alike is outstanding. One customer told me he knew Case IH was a large company, but knowing we cared made a difference. I will still keep in touch with some of the customers I met, not just as a marketer, but as a friend.
I learned so much in just three months. From product knowledge to marketing techniques, this is a unique, challenging experience that won’t be found anywhere else. I encourage everyone who is eligible to apply for this internship.

Have you at case ih ever considered doing a made for TV movie of the harvest crews crossing this great country working the harvest? I remember one years ago called I believe amber waves, it was a great movie about a custom harvest crew running wheat . It would a great advertising idea for both case ih and the American farmer ,and a informative show as to how to respect the machines while they go up and down the roads and in the field . The American public just doesn’t understand the stress of the farmer to produce their livelihood and commute down these roads when people do not understand they must share the roads with these very proud and hard working American farmers. Thank you for your time and dedication to this great American heritage. Respectfully Robert Donnelly.
