Today’s guest blogger is Linda Salbeck, one of two college relations specialists responsible for recruiting and managing each group of Case IH summer interns. We asked Linda to share with us a little about the Case IH internship program, what types of internships will be available for summer 2014 and how to apply.
The 2013 Case IH summer interns did a great job, and got to work with various sectors of our business. You can learn more about several of our interns’ experiences:
Reid Klintworth, Digital Marketing
Kathryn Johnson, High-Horsepower Tractors
Kalyn Rose, Livestock Equipment Marketing
Courtney Harder, Crop Production Sales & Marketing
We already are planning some fantastic internship opportunities for 2014 in sales and marketing, and ag tech systems management. At Case IH, we make sure that our interns get to do relevant hands-on work, not busy work.
In addition to real-life work experience, our internship program offers relocation assistance and subsidies for expenses for students who aren’t from the local area. We also plan intern social activities and outings, such as trips to baseball games, the county fair and the Wisconsin State Fair. This past summer, interns enjoyed an evening at a recreation center where they had dinner and got to know one another. They also rode go-karts and played mini-golf, laser tag and video games, all for free.

If you’re a graduating senior, consider participating in the Case IH Rotational Development Program. At Case IH, we’re looking for the best of the best, so they are very competitive — we only hire a few participants each year. These job opportunities also are posted on the Campus Connect website.
