New AFS Soil Command Agronomic Control Technology

AFS Soil Command works by using reliable Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) components to optimize machine settings as field conditions change. While Case IH tillage already sets the stage for an ideal seedbed, AFS Soil Command takes soil quality a step further by making agronomically correct adjustments from the seat of the tractor, ensuring the entire machine is properly set.

Agronomic consequences of a misadjusted tillage tool

Out in the field, misalignment issues can happen without warning. On an Ecolo-Tiger® 875, for example, shank depth and disk depth could become misaligned if the tillage tool depth is adjusted without adjusting other machine functions. Now, with AFS Soil Command, all tillage settings remain optimized when main depth is changed, so you can be confident knowing your real-time adjustments are making improvements that will lead to an optimal seedbed.

Adjust settings to optimize each tillage pass

The intuitive user interface on the AFS Pro 700 — an ISOBUS-VT-compliant display — allows for quick and easy in-cab adjustments for operators of any skill level. Once you’ve optimized settings for a particular field condition, you can save your setting to one of four presets. With the push of a button, the implement adjusts to reach peak agronomic performance.

AFS Soil Command factory-installed, internally mounted sensing technology has been seamlessly integrated into Case IH hydraulic cylinders, protecting the sensors from damage in harsh conditions while matching the performance and ruggedness of tillage equipment. More options for greater agronomic potential

Case IH is expanding AFS Soil Command agronomic control technology to its Tiger-Mate 255 field cultivator, single-fold True-Tandemdisk harrows and vertical tillage tools, and the Ecolo-Tiger 875 disk ripper. This builds on existing AFS Soil Command seedbed sensing technology, offered on the Tiger-Mate 255 field cultivator for spring 2019.
