Case IH is a proud sponsor of the New Century Farmer Conference. The all-expenses paid educational conference is offered to those currently enrolled in or who have recently graduated from a two- or four-year college or university. Participants learn about new farm business opportunities, gain an understanding of how banks view farming operations and establish a network of business professionals who are pursuing a career in production agriculture. Have you attended the New Century Farmer Conference? What was the most valuable thing you took away from it?
Nick Davis, a junior majoring in ag systems technology at Iowa State University, attended the 2013 conference and was very impressed.

New Century Farmer participants get opportunities to network with industry experts, presenters and each other and have a little fun racing Case IH pedal tractors as well.
“The conference appealed to me because it is intended for younger people looking to get into production agriculture,” says Davis. “It helped me prepare for the future by giving me an overview of many of the decisions that are made in an agricultural operation and how to best make those decisions, teaching me the significance of creating a vision statement and stressing the importance of efficiency.”
The conference will be held July 13-19 in Des Moines, Iowa. Apply online through the National FFA website. The deadline is Saturday, Feb. 15, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
