Have you worked with a Case IH Field Specialist? How did they help you make better use of your equipment?
Jeff Silva, Southwestern United States
Silva says the Case IH Field Specialist position is a perfect fit for his interest and background in farming. He was raised in a rural community and his family has a farming operation in Turlock, Calif. He has been with Case IH for just over a year and enjoys working with people who are as passionate as he is about agricultural equipment. Silva advises producers who are considering purchasing a utility tractor and/or hay equipment to pay attention to field efficiencies, such as the number of acres covered per hour, cost per hour and cost per acre of operating the equipment. Choosing an efficient piece of equipment is a top priority for many producers, and Silva helps them sort through the various options to find the best fit for their needs.
Glenn Gudmundson, Western Canada
Gudmundson has been around agricultural equipment for as long as he can remember. Growing up, his family owned an equipment dealership, and he has been involved with livestock since he graduated from high school in 1985. He also owned his own dealership for a short time. Gudmundson has been with Case IH as a Field Specialist for just more than three years and assists customers in Western Canada in choosing hay equipment and utility tractors. Gudmundson advises dealers and customers to choose equipment that is the best value for them and that will hold up the longest. He recognizes that producers put in long hours on their farms and knows how important it is to have a reliable piece of equipment that will hold up for a long period of time.
Chuck Stephens, Great Plains Region
Stephens grew up around agricultural equipment. His family owned a large equipment dealership, and after college, he gained more experience in utility tractors. He has been with Case IH as a Field Specialist for almost two years. He strives to make sure that each customer ends up with the piece of equipment that is right for them and their operation. He enjoys being able to work side by side with customers, as well as conducting training sessions or giving educational presentations at dealerships.
