The Case IH Steiger® Quadtrac 620 was selected as “Machine of the Year 2014” at Agritechnica this past November in Hannover, Germany. The group that selected the “Machine of the Year” was quite impressed with the Steiger’s peak performance due to traction and soil protection.
Do you use a Steiger Quadtrac? Why do you like the tracks?
This video gives a close look at the unique design of four independent, positive-drive tracks. These tracks allow the tractor to have full-time, full-soil contact, providing better traction and even soil pressure with less compaction.
While in motion, the tracks provide optimum track-to-soil contact. This allows producers to get in the field earlier and stay in the field, even during muddier conditions.
The biggest benefit of using tracks is in the agronomic advantage. The tracks allow the tractor even flotation on soil, resulting in a lighter overall footprint.
