It happens: You’re into the planting season; you’ve got ground to cover; the weather isn’t helping, and neither is one of your tractors. This time, you can upgrade that troublesome tractor with confidence, thanks to the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned* Program.
The planting window is tight. In many areas this spring, weather conditions are squeezing it even more. So maybe you need a more reliable tractor. Or perhaps a tractor with more horsepower. Or you simply need an additional tractor. If pre-owned equipment fits your business plan better than new, the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned Program can give you the power and reliability you need.[Tweet “Upgrade that troublesome tractor with confidence. Best of the best
It takes a special kind of tractor or combine — serviced by a special caliber of technician — to be eligible for the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned Program. Only late-model (five or fewer years old) Magnum™ and Steiger® series tractors and Axial-Flow® series combines qualify for consideration. Tractors must have fewer than 2,000 engine hours; for combines, it’s no more than 1,500 engine hours.
With those standards met, equipment undergoes an initial test drive to ensure it is in good operational condition and problem-free. A fluid analysis of engine oil, coolant and hydraulic fluid determines the overall health of the tractor or combine prior to inspection. This state-of-the-art fluid analysis identifies dirt, wear particles and coolant contaminants that can cause catastrophic failure or significantly shorten equipment life. With these risks eliminated, inspection can begin.
This thorough, systematic inspection — 200-plus points for combines and 100-plus points for tractors — and reconditioning process includes replacing worn out or defective parts. Those replacement parts must be genuine Case IH parts or remanufactured parts. New parts carry a six-month warranty; remanufactured parts come with a 12-month warranty. Certified Case IH dealer technicians perform all repairs, returning the equipment to field-ready condition.
A final test drive — conducted only after successfully meeting all analysis and inspection checkpoints —ensures that all repairs fully meet Case IH standards, and the equipment qualifies for the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned Program. This exhaustive certification process is a guarantee you’ll work confidently with proven Case IH quality and durability for years.
